The Poorest of the Poor
Cite Soleil (City So-lay) is home to the poorest of the poor. It is rife with drug trafficking, oppression, and gang warfare. We are sometimes unable to visit this slum community due to frequent violence and unrest. Yet within this extreme poverty and despair, you will find a school which is a shining light in a very dark place.

 
 

The Church and School Building
The school has 360 students, 87 of which are
sponsored through Hope For Haiti’s Children.

The metal gate helps to keep the school a safe haven in a very dangerous place.
